Sokoto State Attack: On Sallah day, armed assailants believed to be terrorists invaded Tudun Doki village in Gwadabawa Local Government Area around 1:30 AM. Six individuals were confirmed dead by police, with several others abducted. Search efforts for the missing persons are ongoing.
Massacre in Katsina State: Over the preceding weekend, gunmen killed at least 50 villagers in Yargoje, Katsina State. The attackers also abducted numerous individuals, including women and children, after ambushing the village and opening fire.
Kaduna State Skirmish: On June 17, security forces successfully foiled an attempted attack in Giwa Local Government Area. Troops engaged and neutralized a known terrorist, preventing further violence.
Violence in Abia State: In the southeastern region, an attack at a military checkpoint in Ogbor Hill, Aba, resulted in the deaths of five army personnel on May 30, 2024, amid heightened regional tensions.
